Not sure if I owe financial aid from 1997?

You definetley owe that money. When financial aid pays for your cles and you don't receive a grade in the end...even a W...you will have to pay it back. That bill will follow you around. It can even go on your credit report. Just call the school where you owe the money and work out a payment plan.
