I think circision is barbaric. Why do parents still have it done even though it's harmful?

We decided to leave it up to our son. It is HIS , after all. I think many people try to justify it... but it really just boils down to sticking with what they think the mainstream is doing. More and more people are NOT having their sons circised. It wasn't even offered by my sons pediatrician. Some people have been using the excuse that "it prevents infections". Have the women on this site ever had a yeast infection? How would you like it if your parents cut out your to prevent that. A little EXTREME?
